This course looks at the influence that three African-American authors Booker T. Washington, W.E.B. Dubois and E.E. Cummings have had on world literature.  This course also examines the affect that these men had on the American political landscape and the different ways each man tried to bring about change.  The writings of these authors helped lead America into a better more equal place with better opportunities for all.  The final project will be a web quest style lesson for your students to use as a starting point for their own research.
